Are there places in Washington that rent light weight rental canoes? We had a super heavy canoe leisure canoe last year, and were looking to upgrade this year.

Out of curiosity, what did you last year? A Grumman?

I do have a lightweight fiberglass racing canoe purchase specifically for this race and did raced with competitive river finishes several times. I was considering selling it this year but may also consider a rental if a full deposit was made first. You can direct contact me via text at 360-961-7547 for more information and specifics. The canoe does meet the Ski to Sea requirements. Paddles and a canoe float may also be available.

Out of curiosity, what did you last year? A Grumman? A Coleman RAM X-15. I am the runner on our team, but our canoeists said it their canoe was super slow and they were being passed by people in better canoes all day. Good evening. I miss-spoke in my earlier post... this is not a fiberglass canoe. I have a We-no-nah, natural Kevlar, sliding seat tandem with two wood "elbow" paddles. Everything has been stored at an indoor storage unit (out of the sunlight). I will go up this weekend and get true measurements, weights and photos. as It is over 18' and used by our company team several times in the Whatcom county Ski to Sea race and is a very competitive racer. We used a float bag in all our practice runs and I will need to confirm that the bag still holds air. I will reach out to your text once all information is gathered.

Confirmed. We-no-nah, 18' 6" Jensen Model "SCR", (Retired). Per the We-no-nah website... "A radically designed canoe. Unquestionably the fastest USCA "Standard" Class Racer ever built. A must for all serious standard class canoe racers." All specifications are available at wenonah.com/Retired/Jensen-SCR.aspx This canoe is the Aramid Hull with a weigh of only 32 lbs. The overall length is 18'6" with a max hull width of 35". Sale of canoe is complete with two competitive paddles. A 52" and a 54" bent shaft Canadian made "Grey Owl", light-weight wood paddles with resin reinforced tips. Also a "Float Bag" is included that can be used for practice runs, and is also light enough to keep in during the race (just in case). The canoe has been cleaned, hand buffed out, oiled, and is race ready today. I do recommend it be waxed with your choice of wax prior to wetting. $2,500 USD cash plus sales tax based upon your location. (this is a business owned canoe so the tax must be paid.) I would suggest withdrawal at your bank to insure against counterfeit. Please respond to 360-961-7547
